The Direct Support Professional Float (DSPF) provides compassionate support, assistance, and encouragement to individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities served by Harry Meyering Center. This role requires a high level of flexibility, as DSPF staff fill shifts across multiple program locations based on organizational needs. Services are delivered in individuals’ homes and within the community. Depending on the site, shifts may include awake-overnight or partial-sleep schedules. This position requires open availability and the ability to work full-time. Parameters for this position include the ability to work at multiple locations. Hours will vary week-to-week. Must be able to arrive and be prepared to work within 1 (one) hour of notification of shift. Shifts will not be longer than 16 hours with at least 8 hours between shifts. Will be scheduled for up to 40 hours per week. If no direct care work is available to reach 40 hours, the employee will complete other tasks related to the organization to fill hours.
