About The Position
CDD is a non-profit community-based organization that supports individuals with developmental disabilities in their own homes throughout the Kansas City Metropolitan Area. We have been doing this for over 50 years with the goal of adding 50+ more in our sight. CDD offers incentives based on meeting agency-wide goals as well as differentials for homes that are behavioral, high medical needs, and for shifts that occur on Saturday and Sunday. This is a full-time DSP role that also involves driving our company van.
Requirements
- Valid Class E in Missouri or Class C in Kansas driver's license and clean driving record
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed
Responsibilities
- Provide safe and reliable transportation services for developmentally disabled individuals
- Assist individuals with entering and exiting the vehicle
- Ensure the vehicle is clean and well-maintained
- Communicate effectively with individuals, families, and staff
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations
- Maintain accurate records of mileage and services provided
