As a Day Habilitation Direct Support Professional (DSP) in the Young Adult Program (YAP), you will support young adults (ages 18–25) with developmental disabilities as they build independence, develop life and social skills, and explore future pathways, including pre-employment, competitive employment, supported employment, and traditional day habilitation services. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with young adults, is comfortable preparing and facilitating engaging lessons and group activities and can confidently present information to small groups. DSPs provide individualized support, coaching, and skill development while fostering self-determination, community participation, and daily living skills. Responsibilities also include implementing individualized support plans, assisting with community outings and transportation, providing personal care as needed, completing required documentation, assisting with meal preparation, and maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment. The Day Habilitation program operates Monday through Friday.
