About The Position
The Arc Erie County NY is a leading nonprofit supporting people with developmental & intellectual disabilities across Western New York, through innovative residential, educational, clinical and employment services. Join us as a Direct Support Professional (DSP) in our Day Habilitation program! As a DSP, you’ll support adults with developmental disabilities through hands-on assistance, community outings, skill-building activities, and meaningful daily experiences that promote independence and personal growth.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED preferred
- Valid NYS Driver’s License with approved driving record
- Human services or caregiving experience preferred
- Compassion, patience, teamwork, and reliability
Responsibilities
- Support individuals in a center-based day program
- Teach life, social, and adaptive skills
- Assist with recreational and community activities
- Help individuals achieve personal goals
- Be part of a positive, supportive team environment
