About The Position

As a Direct Support Professional (DSP), you will utilize your caregiving and people skills to support individuals living with developmental disabilities in achieving their goals. This role offers the opportunity to make a difference in someone's life, such as taking them to the park, while being compensated for your work. The position is full-time, with a schedule of 40 hours per week, Sunday through Thursday from 2pm to 10pm, at a group home located in Woodbridge, VA.

Requirements

• Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities and/or mental health challenges, or transferrable skills that relate to serving this population (such as experience in education, caregiving, health care, other human services or customer service).
• Ability to pass criminal background check.
• Ability to pass required trainings.
• A Valid driver’s license, minimum three-year acceptable driving record and reliable transportation.
• A High school diploma or GED.
• Flexibility, positive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Support individuals living with developmental disabilities to achieve their goals.
• Transport individuals using agency provided van.
• Work in residential group homes, day programs, and in the community.
