About The Position

The Mobile Crew Supervisor, under the direction of the Program Director, is responsible for assisting with the day-to-day operation of the Mobile Crew program. This program provides employment to individuals who offer janitorial services at various locations in the Prince William area. The role involves supervising individuals with developmental disabilities, ensuring their safety and well-being, and overseeing the completion of work at contract sites. The supervisor will also implement client program plans, provide transportation, and serve as a role model for clients.

Requirements

  • Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities and/or mental health challenges, or transferrable skills that relate to serving this population (such as experience in education, caregiving, health care, other human services or customer service).
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check.
  • Ability to pass required trainings.
  • A valid driver's license, minimum three-year acceptable driving record, and reliable transportation.
  • A high school diploma or GED.
  • Flexibility and a positive attitude.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds.
  • Ability to read, write, understand, and effectively communicate the English language.
  • Understanding of persons with mental disabilities.
  • Ability to work effectively with people.
  • Ability to adapt to new environments, clients, and changes in daily work schedules.
  • Ability to become First Aid and CPR certified.
  • Knowledge in emergency first aid.
  • Ability to communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Assisting with the developing and implementing of individual client program plans.
  • Ensuring the safety and well-being of the clients and monitoring crew for personal and safety needs at community-based contracts.
  • Working directly with clients in implementing the program.
  • Directing and supervising program staff in executing the program.
  • Acquiring skills to assist and complete duties at each contract site, including all janitorial skills.
  • Assisting with documentation per program requirements.
  • Serving as a role model for clients.
  • Maintaining professional conduct and relations with clients, families, agency personnel, and contract liaisons.
  • Providing transportation and supervision of clients.
  • Assisting clients as needed with self-help skills.
  • Ensuring insurability as a driver for the agency.
  • Assisting clients on or off vehicles, including clients with wheelchairs.
  • Checking oil and vehicle fluids and reporting appropriate repairs to the supervisor.
  • Supervising the crew to ensure completion of work at each contract daily.
  • Becoming familiar with emergency procedures and the ability to follow through with required actions, including verbal and physical response.
  • Representing the agency at various meetings and community activities.
  • Communicating safety precautions and demonstrating them to clients.
  • Recognizing dangerous settings and responding appropriately.
  • Maintaining supervision of the clients.
  • Complying with training policies as scheduled.
  • Performing other duties as required by the Director and Assistant Director.
