About The Position

ARISE/Exceptional Family Resources is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide Community Habilitation services to an individual with autism in the Dewitt/Outer University area. They are looking for a dedicated DSP to provide support and assistance with working on goals, both at home and in community settings. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, support during community outings/events (movies, walks, bowling, classes, festivals), assistance with increasing independent living skills (cooking, cleaning, grocery shopping, maintaining their apartment) and transportation, as needed. We are looking for individuals who are dependable, patient and enthusiastic.

Requirements

• Reliable transportation
• Valid NYS driver’s license
• HS diploma/GED
• Effective communication and organizational skills
• Flexibility with assignments and schedule
• Reliable transportation to arrive to job site at scheduled time.
• Must have technology available to download multiple apps for use in the community and abide by ARISE/EFR'S technology policy.
