About The Position

Are you passionate about making a meaningful difference in the lives of others? Join our Easterseals NH team as a Direct Support Associate, where you’ll empower adults with developmental disabilities and diverse support needs to build independence, engage in their communities, and live fulfilling lives. We are currently hiring for both our Day Program and our Residential Homes, offering flexibility based on your interests, experience, and schedule. Locations: Positions available in Concord and Penacook.

Requirements

  • Minimum 18 years of age
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and automobile insurance

Nice To Haves

  • Prior direct care/direct support experience preferred, but not required
  • Experience as a Direct Support Professional (DSP)
  • Experience as a Residential Counselor
  • Experience as a Caregiver
  • Experience as a Behavior Technician
  • Experience as a Support Counselor

Responsibilities

  • Support individuals as they participate in engaging, community-based, and skill‑building activities such as vocational tasks, volunteerism, and outings and integrative community experiences.
  • Provide general supervision to offering hand‑over‑hand assistance, always ensuring each person receives the individualized support they need to succeed.
  • Help create a safe, supportive, and home-like environment for adults with developmental disabilities and varying medical needs.
  • Support activities of daily living (ADLs), including personal care and medication administration.
  • Assist with lifting, transferring, and mobility.
  • Perform light housekeeping, meal prep, and laundry.
  • Accompany individuals to appointments, activities, and community events.
  • Follow personalized care plans.
  • Complete daily documentation on a computer or tablet.
  • Participate in trainings such as conflict resolution and behavioral health safety.
