About The Position

All’s Well Healthcare, in partnership with the State of California’s Department of Developmental Services (DDS), offers a paid, three-month shadow training program for candidates interested in direct support. Interns work under the supervision of an experienced DSP mentor for up to three months and up to 30 hours per week, gaining hands-on experience supporting adults with developmental and/or intellectual needs. Participants shadow and learn from staff, and may be offered permanent employment if there is a mutual fit, potentially as early as week three. The role supports individuals in living more independent and fulfilling lives. Duties vary according to each person’s needs and goals. The position is located in San Luis Obispo and offers flexible scheduling. Pay is $16.90–$21.50.

Requirements

Must be 18 years or older.
Must have a high school diploma or equivalent, or a Certificate of Completion.
Must have a valid California driver’s license.
Must pass a background check and other required health screenings.
