About The Position

Paragon 28 (Zimmer Biomet), an innovator in orthopedic medical devices for the foot and ankle, is hiring a Direct Sales Representative for the Cleveland, Akron, Canton, and Youngstown, Ohio territory. The representative drives territory growth by developing and executing strategic sales plans and serving as a trusted clinical and business partner to orthopedic surgeons, operating room teams, and other healthcare providers. The role combines consultative selling, relationship management, and clinical expertise to deliver strong customer experiences and meet sales objectives. The representative builds customer relationships, provides operating room case coverage, educates healthcare professionals on products, coordinates product evaluations and training, and ensures product availability. The role also involves identifying new business opportunities, growing existing accounts, managing territory performance, maintaining accurate sales reporting and inventory, and complying with applicable laws and company policies. The position operates from the employee’s home office, with routine presence in hospitals, including operating rooms during surgeries. Overnight travel is 20%, and attendance at national and district meetings and other requested training is required. This is a commission-based position with expected earnings of up to $200,000 or more. It uses a draw-against-commission structure: the employee receives a guaranteed bi-weekly advance against anticipated commissions, with commissions reconciled semi-monthly or monthly. Excess earned commissions are paid; any draw deficit is treated as a recoverable advance and carried forward for deduction from future commission earnings.
