Summit Business Group•Athens, AL

About The Position

Summit Business Group is hiring an outside sales representative to serve an assigned territory and sell supplemental insurance products and services to small and medium-sized businesses and their employees. The role involves building relationships with business owners, benefits managers, employees, and other decision-makers; understanding their needs; and presenting tailored insurance solutions. Representatives conduct in-person outreach and cold calls, follow up with prospective and existing clients, and use Salesforce CRM to manage sales activity. The representative manages their own schedule around client business hours, submits scheduled working hours to the sales manager weekly, and reports sales metrics and activity daily. The role includes individual client meetings and product presentations for employee groups of 50–100 or more. Representatives also respond to client inquiries, provide ongoing support—including during the claims process—and build and maintain their own book of business. Summit provides virtual and hands-on training, with advancement based on personal performance.
