Direct Response Copywriter
About The Position
We are seeking a Direct Response Copywriter for project-based work to rewrite key pages on our website. Our company, a WordPress support and maintenance provider with twenty years of success primarily through referrals, needs to improve its online conversion rates. The initial focus will be on a landing page for our Website Rebuild service, designed to convert cold ad traffic into booked calls. Following the success of this landing page, we will proceed with rewriting three additional service pages: Website Rebuild, Redesign, and our agency partner program. This role is strictly project-based, not an ongoing content or blog writing gig.
Requirements
- Proven experience writing direct response copy, not general content.
- Ability to demonstrate conversion results from past work with specific numbers.
- Experience writing for B2B or service businesses.
- Experience selling considered, recurring services to business owners.
- Ability to price work by the project and explain the value proposition.
- Portfolio showcasing response-driven pages.

Responsibilities
- Rewrite a price-forward landing page for the Website Rebuild service to convert cold ad traffic into booked calls.

- Provide conversion results (e.g., before-and-after rates, tracked revenue, page lift) from past work.
- Price work by the project and justify the value of each page.
