Requirements

  • Vocationally trained in Supply Chain Management and Purchasing
  • Undergraduate Degree in SCM, or business-related field or equivalent qualification with demonstrated competency
  • Two years’ experience in Planning or similar position
  • Demonstrates leadership qualities
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Analytical thinking skills
  • Goal and results oriented
  • Strong problem solving and decision-making skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Candidate must be able to pass Canadian Controlled Goods Assessment and criminal background check and be compliant with International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).

Responsibilities

  • Communicate with Suppliers on a daily basis
  • Create Purchase Orders, Info. records and handle source changes
  • Regularly analyze order plans, and double-check availability of stocks of materials, parts and components (demand/capacity analyses)
  • Arrange, schedule and prioritize sequences, quantities and target date based on DCC (demand capacity checks)
  • Determine daily work order sequence, and level weekly sequence planning on a daily basis
  • Execute load balancing calculations, and cooperate with master planning for optimized plans
  • Monitor deliveries as scheduled, and propose measures in case of deviation
  • Analyze data to identify trends and potential issues, and provide solutions to mitigate risks
  • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with supply chain to ensure materials availability
  • Assess duty and tariff amounts for shipment, ensuring compliance with international trade laws and regulations
  • Execute customs-related administration, including providing documents and gathering informaiton for clearance
  • Connect with Customs team and Authorities to resolve any discrepencies
  • Verify correctness of shipping invoices, cross-checking against purchase orders and delivery receipts to ensure completeness
  • Implement processes, (forecasting) methods and systems for demand planning to meet business requirements
  • Analyze sales leads and contract information from sales areas, conduct demand planning and regular reporting (monthly/weekly)
  • Support the Manager to coordinate with other departments, to ensure alignment of demand and capacity planning strategies
  • Support the implementation of the global purchasing strategy in alignment with all respective stakeholders
