About The Position

This is a full-time internship position (up to 40 hours a week, including weekends and holidays) with a schedule operating between 8 am and 7 pm. The internship is for the onsite direct marketing team and not for digital, branding, or social media marketing. Housing is not provided. The hourly rate is $22.70. This internship is an immersion program offering participants work experience in a Sales Center, including comprehensive onboarding, operational duties, eLearning, virtual meetings with company leaders, job shadowing, and direct mentorship. The program is designed to last 10-12 weeks and requires a full-time schedule. Successful interns will be given high consideration for future career opportunities.

Requirements

  • Pursuing a college degree or within 1 year post graduation.
  • Actively pursuing a degree in Hospitality, Marketing, Sales or Business is preferred.
  • Candidates who have an undecided major may also be considered.
  • Prior Hospitality or Sales experience preferred.
  • Must maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance per Marriott Vacations Worldwide Corporation Policy Marketing and Sales Standards of Appearance.
  • If a uniform is provided, must wear the appropriate uniform, neat and clean at all times.
  • Non-uniformed interns should dress with good business taste and in clothing appropriate to their jobs.
  • Dress or skirt length should be no shorter than four inches above the knee.
  • Must wear proper undergarments.
  • Corporate office interns must adhere to policy EMP-20 Corporate Office Business Dress Guidelines.

  • Previous Interns who are interested in completing an additional internship will be considered first.
  • Previous performance rating will be taken into consideration.

Responsibilities

  • Learn and perform job duties of the position within the assigned department.
  • Learn and master the role of a non-commissioned marketing associate.
  • Learn aspects of commission-based roles, sales department, and other areas.
  • Participate in department projects.
  • Learn components of what drives a successful Marketing and Sales operation on site.
  • Contribute to important marketing and sales matters.
  • Demonstrate the company’s values and core beliefs.
