About The Position

Looking for meaningful work where you can truly make an impact? Join RTR and help individuals with developmental disabilities live independently and thrive in a residential setting. You’ll work alongside a supportive team to provide hands-on care, skill-building, and everyday support that turns houses into homes. This is an active, hands-on role where you’ll support individuals both at home and in the community. Responsibilities may include physical care, behavioral support (including trained interventions), and household tasks. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word and the internet
  • Successful completion and maintenance of all state and agency mandated trainings, including medication administration
  • Must be willing to authorize a Criminal History Background Check (CORI) and release of information concerning allegations from Disabled Persons Protection Commission (DPPC), Department of Developmental Services (DDS), and other agencies
  • Must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily
  • Must be fluent in English and have the ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or government regulations
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
  • Ability to communicate effectively with individuals under supervision, employees of the organization, families, and members of the community
  • Ability to carry out detailed written or oral instructions

Responsibilities

  • Support individuals with daily living skills like cooking, hygiene, and routines
  • Provide hands-on personal care and mobility assistance
  • Help coordinate and attend medical appointments and community activities
  • Implement individualized support and behavioral plans
  • Administer medications following proper procedures
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable home environment
  • Provide transportation as needed
  • Complete documentation and progress reports
  • Collaborate with team members, families, and care providers
  • Act as a positive, consistent role model
