About The Position
BAYADA is recruiting a Direct Care Worker to provide personal care, household support, and companionship services to adults in their homes. Following a written plan of care developed by a registered nurse, the worker helps clients remain safe and independent at home. The role involves one-on-one care and building close relationships with clients, with support from a larger care team and 24/7 clinical support. BAYADA provides training and offers flexible scheduling; previous home health or patient care experience is welcomed but not required. The position serves patients in Harrisburg, Carlisle, Camp Hill, Lemoyne, Reading, Lancaster, Ephrata, Lititz, and Middletown in BAYADA’s ACSP Division. - Ability to travel to clients’ homes as assigned.
- Commitment to providing compassionate, excellent, and reliable patient care.
- Previous home health care or patient care experience is welcomed but not required; training is provided.

Responsibilities
- Follow a written plan of care provided by a registered nurse.
- Provide personal care, household support, and companion care to help adults remain safe and independent at home.
- Assist with activities of daily living, including bathing, grooming, toileting, and nail care.
- Provide light housekeeping, laundry, and bed-making.
- Prepare meals and assist with feeding.
- Assist clients with range-of-motion exercises.
- Assist with ambulation and transfers, including use of mechanical lifting devices.
- Provide medication reminders.
