About The Position
Alternative Services, Inc. (ASI) is seeking compassionate and genuine individuals to join their team as Direct Care Workers/Direct Support Professionals. This role involves supporting adults with disabilities in a small group home setting (Adult Foster Care home) and helping them live meaningful lives. ASI has been a leader in the industry for over 47 years and is dedicated to employee growth, job satisfaction, and well-being. The position is full-time, second shift (2-10 pm), and located in Oakland County, Rochester Hills, MI. ASI provides 24-hour care, 365 days a year, and is committed to building positive and caring relationships with the adults they serve.
Requirements
- Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
- Possess a valid Michigan Driver's license.
- Excellent moral character.

Responsibilities
- Assisting in a variety of daily living activities, including personal care (hygiene, basic health, and administering medication), cleaning, cooking, and shopping.
- Serving as an advocate and role model in all interactions with persons served.
- Supporting persons served as they participate in leisure activities (at-home and in the community).
- Respecting the rights, dignity, property, and privacy of persons served.
