About The Position
We are looking for a motivated individual to join our team as a Direct Care Worker at AbaCares Services in Mount Joy, Pennsylvania. This role requires individuals to work on Sundays to Wednesdays from 8 AM to 5 PM, with the necessity of owning a vehicle for transportation to work. Fluency in Spanish is preferred but not required. The scope of care includes meal prep, light housekeeping, bathing, dressing, providing minor mobility assistance as the client is ambulatory, and assisting with the use of a commode in the bedroom. The client can walk short distances.
Requirements
- Prior experience in direct care or related field
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Must own a vehicle for transportation to work
Nice To Haves
- Fluency in Spanish is preferred
