About The Position
Join our Direct Care Training program and become a Kensington Care Partner! This is a 5-day, in-person, paid training for newly hired team members. It's designed for passionate healthcare professionals or nursing students looking to advance their careers. Whether you aim to be a nurse, healthcare administrator, or something else, this training provides the essential skills to launch your healthcare journey. Become a Care Partner and discover your path, purpose, and a strong sense of belonging within our community. We offer opportunities for everyone and ample room for growth.
Requirements
- Newly hired team member.
- Attend all 5 days of the training: Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm.
- Complete the hiring process.
- Passion for making a difference in the lives of residents.
Nice To Haves
- CNA, HHA, or PCA certification is not required.
- Aspiring to become a nurse, healthcare administrator, or similar role.
- Eagerness to take experience to the next level.
Responsibilities
- Provide hands-on care for residents and assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs).
- Utilize dementia skills training provided by Certified Dementia Practitioners.
- Engage in professional mentorship with the Director of Nursing (RN), Neighborhood Managers, and the 24/7 Nursing Team.
- Complete all 5 days of the training program.
- Begin a career as a Care Partner at The Kensington Reston.
