About The Position
Do meaningful work in your community. Work one-on-one in home and community settings as a companion and mentor for adult individuals with intellectual or developmental disability to help them reach their full potential. No experience needed, BAYADA provides Direct Support Professional training through our Apprentice Program! All clients are adults: 18 years of age and older.
Requirements
- One year experience working with I/DD individuals; If you do not have this experience, paid training is available
- High school diploma or equivalent
Responsibilities
- Accompany clients on errands and appointments
- Spend time on the client’s favorite hobbies and activities
- Assist with everyday tasks, such as meal preparation
- Participate in community integration activities
