About The Position
Center for Human Development (CHD) is hosting a hiring event for Direct Care staff to work in a small residential group home within our DMHAS program in Chicopee, MA. Staff will be on-site 24/7 to assist individuals with daily living skills, community integration, medication administration, and social/recreation opportunities. The role involves working one-on-one with clients in their own apartments, supporting individuals with mental health and substance abuse history. The clients have diagnoses including Autism, Major Depressive Disorder, Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder, Mood Disorder, Psychotic Disorder with Possible Delusions, Fetal Alcohol Syndrome, and Tourette syndrome. These diagnoses may result in behaviors such as physical aggression, verbal aggression, infringement of personal space, and uncooperative behavior. Extensive clinical training is provided for this role.
Requirements
- Valid driver's license (all drivers under the age of 21 must have 3 years of driving history)
