About The Position

Sentara CarePlex Hospital is hiring a Registered Nurse for the Inpatient Surgical Unit. This position primarily serves the CarePlex postoperative patient population in a fast-paced environment with a quick turnover of patients. The role involves providing care for patients with complex needs across a wide range of surgical specialties, including Vascular, Neurosurgery, General Surgery, Orthopedic, Podiatric, Colorectal, Bariatric, Plastic, Gynecologic, and Urologic. The Registered Nurse will work closely with surgeons and the multidisciplinary team to deliver exceptional postoperative care, and occasionally provide care to patients with general medical needs. The ideal candidate is intelligent, passionate about best practices, committed to ongoing professional growth, thrives in a dynamic environment, and is ready to be part of a collaborative, patient-focused team.

Requirements

Virginia or Compact Multi-State License in good standing
Basic Life Support (BLS) within 90 days of hire
RN-Associate’s Degree, or
RN-Bachelor’s Degree, or
RN-Diploma, or
RN-Master’s Degree
