Devereux Pocono Center provides programs and services for adults with developmental disabilities. This position is responsible for assisting individuals with activities of daily living and promoting growth in the areas of functional skills, personal needs, communication, and personal adjustment. Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health Pocono Center provides programs and services for adults with developmental disabilities. Located in Newfoundland, PA, this position is responsible for developing and implementing the overall Residential Program to meet the individual needs of Pocono Center clients.

Requirements

Bachelor Degree in psychology, sociology, social work, education OR other related field or High School Diploma with 12 years relevant Human Service experience required.
Driver’s license is required.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience preferred (not required) working with individuals with psychological, emotional and behavioral disorders, complex post-traumatic stress disorder, co-occurring mental health and substance abuse disorders, and/or autism spectrum disorders.

Responsibilities

Provide safe, supportive care to residents at the Pocono Center, ensuring their physical, emotional, and personal needs are met.
Assisting with hygiene.
Supporting daily routines and community outings.
Attending training sessions.
Completing special assignments as directed by the coordinator.
Assisting individuals with activities of daily living.
Promoting growth in the areas of functional skills, personal needs, communication, and personal adjustment.
Developing and implementing the overall Residential Program to meet the individual needs of Pocono Center clients.

Benefits

Competitive Pay: $18.00–$20.52/hr based on experience, education, and shift
$1/hr with an active NADSP Level 1 Certification
up to $0.50/hr in shift differentials
$0.29/hr if an active CNA
