PT Direct Care – Residential SUD Program
About The Position
The Southeastern Family Project (SEFP) is hiring a Part-Time Direct Care Associate for an every-other-weekend schedule (Saturday and Sunday shifts). This is a hands-on role supporting women and families in a residential treatment setting focused on recovery from substance use and co-occurring mental health challenges. In this position, you will be an essential part of the residential care team, helping maintain a safe, structured, and supportive environment. You will work closely with the Program Manager and other staff to provide day-to-day supervision, encouragement, and practical support to clients as they progress through treatment and stabilization. Your work will directly contribute to helping clients build routines, strengthen recovery skills, and maintain a healthy living environment for themselves and their children.
Requirements
- At least one (1) year of experience in direct care, behavioral health, residential treatment, or substance use services
- Valid Virginia driver's license
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently during weekend shifts and collaborate with a team
- Must successfully pass a criminal history fingerprint background investigation, DMV record check, Child Registry search, drug screening test and employment reference checks.

- CNA certification is a plus
Responsibilities
- Provide direct supervision and daily support in a residential treatment environment
- Assist clients with daily living tasks, including household routines and infant care
- Observe and report client progress, behaviors, and safety concerns
- Maintain accurate and confidential documentation of services provided
- Encourage participation in recovery programming, life skills development, and structured activities
- Support a therapeutic and recovery-focused residential setting
Benefits
- Hourly Pay: $20.04
- Shift Differential: Additional $2.50 per hour for evening, overnight, and weekend shifts worked.
