About The Position

Responsible for the operational performance, and day-to-day operations execution of the bank's Commercial Deposit Services function. This role oversees all aspects of commercial client onboarding, implementation, treasury management support, servicing operations, digital banking administration, quality assurance, and operational excellence. As the senior leader of the Commercial Deposit Services organization, the Director of Operations serves as a key partner Director of Commercial Deposit Services. Additionally, they will work Commercial Banking leadership, Treasury Management Sales Consultants, Operations, Technology, Risk, Compliance, and executive management to ensure the delivery of an exceptional client experience while supporting the bank's deposit growth objectives. This position is accountable for building scalable processes, developing talent, managing risk, fostering innovation, and ensuring the successful execution of all commercial servicing and implementation activities across the bank.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of banking experience, preferably in Commercial Banking, Treasury Management, Deposit Operations, Cash Management, or Banking Technology.
  • Demonstrated expertise supporting commercial banking platforms and treasury management services.
  • Experience managing vendor relationships and escalated technical issues.
  • Experience with system implementations, quality assurance, and operational process improvement.
  • Strong understanding of commercial onboarding, treasury management services, operational controls, and regulatory expectations.

Responsibilities

  • Bring together the operational service model for Commercial Deposit Services.
  • Align department objectives with the Commercial Deposit Sales Team(s) and the enterprise goals.
  • Lead initiatives supporting commercial deposit growth, fee generation, client retention, and operational excellence.
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, scalability, and client satisfaction.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to executive leadership regarding service delivery and operational strategy.
  • Lead managers and support teams responsible for onboarding, implementation, servicing, quality assurance, and system administration.
  • Build a high-performing, client-focused culture.
  • Establish performance standards and accountability measures.
  • Develop succession plans and talent development strategies.
  • Promote collaboration across all business lines and support functions.
  • Own the end-to-end commercial client experience from onboarding through ongoing relationship servicing.
  • Ensure service levels meet or exceed client expectations.
  • Drive initiatives focused on client satisfaction and retention.
  • Monitor client feedback and implement continuous improvement strategies.
  • Act as escalation point for significant client issues.
  • Oversee all commercial account onboarding, implementation, maintenance, and servicing activities.
  • Ensure operational processes are scalable, efficient, and appropriately controlled.
  • Drive workflow optimization and process automation initiatives.
  • Establish service standards and operational performance benchmarks.
  • Monitor operational performance and resource capacity.
  • Provide strategic oversight of commercial banking and treasury management systems.
  • Partner with Technology and vendors to enhance platform capabilities.
  • Sponsor system implementations, upgrades, and digital transformation initiatives.
  • Ensure technology effectively supports commercial clients and internal teams.
  • Promote innovation while maintaining operational stability.
  • Maintain strong operational controls and risk management practices.
  • Partner with Compliance, Audit, BSA/AML, Information Security, and Risk teams.
  • Ensure adherence to all regulatory requirements and internal policies.
  • Oversee department readiness for examinations and audits.
  • Foster a culture of compliance and accountability.
  • Maintain executive-level relationships with key technology and service providers.
  • Evaluate vendor performance and contractual service commitments.
  • Escalate and resolve significant operational or technology concerns.
  • Participate in strategic vendor planning and solution evaluations.
  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators.
  • Measure productivity, service delivery, operational quality, and client outcomes.
  • Analyze trends and provide strategic recommendations to executive leadership.
  • Ensure resources are aligned with business growth objectives.
