About The Position

The Ship Operations Director for CVN75 RCOH Topside is responsible for all phases of overhaul construction, test and redelivery of Topside systems, components and compartments of an in-service aircraft carrier. This position is responsible for the Safety, Quality, Schedule, Cost and Engagement of the construction and production teams supporting the program. The position operates in a fast paced environment where urgency and responsiveness are critical. This candidate should have demonstrated abilities to lead all aspects of oversight for scheduling, manning, progressing, materials, contracting and integration of this diverse and complex program. The preferred candidate will have solid communication skills and the ability to professionally represent the Program with the customers, such as NAVSEA, NRRO, SUPSHIP and Ships Force. Candidate should have the ability to collaborate and build teams in order to achieve project goals. Ability to access the ship and vertical ladders greater than 25 feet is required. In addition, experience with coordination of AIT and CCT work and knowledge is preferred. Prefer prior construction, production and/or test leadership.

Requirements

  • NNS Apprentice graduate or Bachelor’s Degree and 10 years of applicable technical experience OR Master's degree and 8 years relevant experience.
  • Thorough understanding of construction, manufacturing processes, and operations.
  • Ability to access the ship and vertical ladders greater than 25 feet.

Nice To Haves
