This position provides overall leadership and management for daily facilities operations, building use, and functional readiness of college-controlled facilities. The role involves establishing and implementing facilities operations practices, procedures, and service standards to ensure safe, efficient, and effective use of college facilities. Responsibilities include overseeing maintenance, repair, and building systems support, planning and directing facilities-related programs, and providing input on facility decisions balancing preservation with programmatic and code requirements. The role also translates college strategic objectives into facilities and space operational plans, advises on facilities impacts, leads college-level coordination of space utilization, and supports long-range space and facilities planning. Additionally, it involves coordinating renovation projects, overseeing access control, security, events, and room operations, and serving as the Building Emergency Coordinator. The position also oversees logistics, parking, and vehicle operations, manages departmental facilities operations staff, formulates and monitors the operating budget, and develops/refines policies and procedures to improve service quality and efficiency.
