This position will lead the Radiological Control Program for the Nuclear Propulsion Engineering organization. A candidate will ensure that all applicable RadCon procedures and requirements are followed to ensure radiological safety for NNS personnel and the environment. A candidate must be knowledgeable of NAVSEA radiological control requirements as well. A candidate for this position must possess sound leadership, managerial, and communication skills. This candidate will also be closely governed by applicable government and Navy regulations concerning radiological control. Excellent human relations and communication skills are also essential as this position will interact with various internal and external customers on a frequent basis. Demonstrated ability to manage and direct the work of others is required. This benchmark is intended to be used by companies that have generic classifications engaged in research and/or product development encompassing primarily one or more of the following engineering disciplines: electronics, electrical, mechanical, and/or chemical.
