About The Position

Under general supervision, the Dining Room Supervisor oversees the daily operations of the dining room and supervises front-of-house dining team members to ensure exceptional service, resident satisfaction, and compliance with food safety and service standards. This role coordinates dining room activities, provides training and coaching to team members, supports service excellence, and serves as a resource for residents, guests, and staff. Reports to the Director, Dining Services or Assistant Director of Dining (where applicable).

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; some college coursework preferred.
  • Minimum six (6) months of supervisory, lead, or management experience in dining services, hospitality, food service, healthcare, senior living, or a related environment.
  • Previous hospitality, restaurant, catering, or senior living experience.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and customer-service skills.
  • Hands-on, team-oriented approach with excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
  • Weekend availability required

Nice To Haves

  • Prior supervisory experience in senior living, hospitality, healthcare dining, restaurant, country club, or hotel environments.
  • ServSafe Certification and/or Food Handler Certification.
  • Experience training and developing front-of-house dining staff.
  • Experience coordinating catering events, private dining functions, or resident dining programs

Responsibilities

  • Lead and support the dining team during daily service.
  • Work hands-on in the Bistro and Dining Room, including serving and assisting residents and guests.
  • Support catering and special events, including setup, service, breakdown, and event execution.
  • Assist with scheduling, training, service standards, and team accountability.
  • Respond to resident and guest needs and ensure a welcoming dining experience.
  • Partner with the Dining Director and culinary team to ensure smooth daily operations.
