About The Position

This role supports daily dining operations by guiding and mentoring dining and wait staff, maintaining service standards, and ensuring residents and guests experience attentive, welcoming service at every meal. The Dining Services Supervisor balances hands-on service with leadership—helping the team succeed while keeping operations running smoothly. Requirements

  • Strong customer service and hospitality skills
  • Ability to lead by example in a fast-paced dining environment
  • Clear, professional communication with residents, staff, and leadership
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
  • One to two years of experience in a restaurant, fine dining, or hospitality settings required
  • High school diploma or equivalent required

Nice To Haves

  • Prior supervisory, lead, or shift-lead experience preferred
  • Additional education or coursework in hospitality, food service, or leadership is a plus, but not required

Responsibilities

  • Ensure residents and guests receive prompt, courteous, and accurate service
  • Model professionalism, hospitality, and respectful interactions on the dining floor
  • Maintain awareness of menus, ingredients, preparation methods, and service procedures
  • Monitor resident satisfaction during meals and support service recovery when needed
  • Ensure dining room presentation standards are met before, during, and after service
  • Coordinate staff coverage and adjust assignments to meet service needs
  • Coach, guide, and support dining and wait staff through hands-on leadership
  • Reinforce service standards, safety practices, and performance expectations
  • Perform opening and closing procedures to ensure smooth transitions between shifts
  • Step into service roles as needed during high-volume or short-staffed periods
  • Communicate clearly with dining leadership regarding service flow, staffing, and resident feedback
  • Follow and reinforce food safety, sanitation, and safe food handling practices
  • Ensure compliance with allergen awareness, infection prevention, and hygiene standards
  • Monitor for safety concerns and address or escalate issues as appropriate
  • Operate POS systems accurately and support billing and order accuracy
  • Comply with required screenings, training, and organizational policies
