About The Position

Unidine is currently hiring for a Dining Services Manager position at ClarkLindsey in Urbana, IL. This role is within a Continuing Care Retirement Community setting, serving skilled nursing, memory care, and assisted living residents. The schedule is full-time, primarily Monday through Friday, with some weekend requirements. The position requires a Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) certification and offers a salary range of $75k - $80k, with relocation assistance available. Unidine is an industry-leading hospitality food service group focused on scratch cooking, innovative programs, and exceptional guest experiences. The Dining Services Manager will be a leader with healthcare experience in senior living, focusing on skilled nursing, assisted living, and memory care. Responsibilities include ensuring timely meal delivery, adherence to dietary requirements, and proper serving temperatures. The role involves close collaboration with the Director of Nursing to enhance the dining experience and address resident/family concerns. The manager will lead and develop a team by setting clear expectations, driving accountability, and building engagement. While culinary experience is a plus, it is not required. Financial responsibilities are minimal, but strong communication with the General Manager and Executive Chef is crucial.

Requirements

  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in nutrition, dietetics, or a related field
  • Credentialed as a CDM or eligible
  • Experience in senior living, healthcare foodservice, or supervisory roles a strong plus
  • ServSafe® certification (or willing to obtain)
  • Comfortable with Microsoft Office, EMRs, nutrient analysis, and diet office systems

Nice To Haves

  • Culinary experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct nutrition screenings, implement individualized care plans, and monitor residents’ progress in collaboration with the Registered Dietitian.
  • Partner with the dining team to plan resident-centered menus and ensure high-quality, enjoyable meal service that meets both clinical and personal preferences.
  • Supervise, train, and motivate dining services staff to deliver excellence while maintaining compliance with food safety and regulatory standards.
  • Lead or participate in quality improvement efforts that enhance resident satisfaction, streamline operations, and improve clinical outcomes.
  • Ensure ongoing adherence to HIPAA, federal and state regulations, and facility policies related to nutrition care and foodservice operations.
