About The Position

Locations FSW1 are employed: Pioneer Haus Pioneer Crossing Pioneer Perk Hickory and Main Catering Services Greenwood Avenue Market Better, Fresher, Faster (BFF) Kristine’s Kafe Bridgeway Stations

Requirements

• Enrolled in a minimum of six credits, at an accredited secondary education program.
• Available to work a minimum of 8 hours per week, including early mornings, late nights and weekends.
• May also have to be available during campus breaks.
• Available to work blackout times when high volume events are scheduled, possibly return from summer break early, in order to receive proper training for the upcoming semester.

Responsibilities

• Assist SMOD and University staff in the daily operations and food production of dining services facilities.
• Follow Dining Services Handbook policies (including all food and physical safety rules), in order to maintain a clean, safe, and productive workplace.
• Report to work when scheduled, on time, in proper uniform with exceptional personal hygiene.
• Implement consistent quality control throughout Dining Services, ensuring quick food production while maintaining a high quality end product.
• Serve customers and keeping service lines full, clean and organized to ensure all customers’ needs are met.
• Follow proper guidelines for cleaning, dishwashing and garbage removal
• Clean, rinse and sanitize all work stations, equipment, floors and shelving
• Wash dishes, containers, pots, pans and utensils
• Remove all garbage and recyclables from kitchen and dining area as needed
• Check out with a SMOD before clocking out at the end of the shift.
• Produce sandwiches and salads, main entrée, bake and short-order cook; at various locations
• Stock shelves, receive orders, rotate products and properly put inventory away in correct storage areas; at various locations
• Process and handle cash, credit cards, stored value, meal plans and guest passes as a cashier; at various locations
• Treat fellow FSW1 comrades, managers and guests with respect and kindness.
• Encourage teamwork and communication amongst all employees in order to maintain a safe and healthy work environment.
• The FSW1 job description includes all of the above tasks however is not limited to only these tasks, as flexibility is required to successfully accomplish their job.
