About The Position

The Village at Northridge is seeking a Dining Room Supervisor to assist in supervising wait staff. This role involves ensuring the dining room is prepared for meals, assisting residents and guests during meal service, and maintaining the dining room after meals. The community offers made-to-order dining with seasonal and regional menus, and importantly, no late nights. Requirements

High school diploma or GED, or two years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
First aid and CPR certified.

Nice To Haves

Experience working in hospitality, residential, or club dining rooms preferred.

Responsibilities

Ensure wait staff are dressed in designated, clean, and pressed uniforms.
Maintain the daily menu board.
Assist in establishing and monitoring the staffing schedule, filling in as needed to avoid overtime and manage labor costs.
Confirm that dining room personnel provide exceptional customer service, including seating residents, presenting menus and specials, answering questions, and making recommendations.
Ensure tables are promptly and properly bussed.
Ensure tables are cleared and reset in a timely and appropriate manner.
Directly supervise employees in the dining room.
Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws, which may include interviewing, hiring, training, planning, assigning and directing work, appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining employees, and resolving complaints.
