This position is responsible for supervising dining room and serving staff, including hiring, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, terminating, and ensuring effective work performance. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
  • Two years of related work experience
  • Colorado Identification Card
  • Food Handler’s Card

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate ethical and professional behavior that align with the values of Hilltop’s Assisted Living Community (ALC) philosophy, including Service 1, how we treat each other, and Service 2, how we treat our residents. Service 1 and Service 2 is demonstrated by setting boundaries and being predictable, consistent, kind, and transparent.
  • Act as a leader at all times by taking ownership of the program, quality of care, and commitment to the betterment and growth of The Fountains. Offer solutions, develop processes, promote rapid and continuous quality improvement, promote transparent behaviors and communication, prioritize tasks, and represent support services and The Fountains.
  • Hiring and onboarding new staff on proper serving and food handling protocol.
  • Direct supervision and monitoring of assigned staff including hiring, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, terminating, and ensuring effective work performance.
  • Managing and supervising direct reports including providing timely performance feedback, addressing performance concerns, and conducting evaluations in a timely manner.
  • Follow all Mesa County and Colorado Department of Health regulations for proper food handling including proper hand washing, temperature logs, and sanitizing of food service equipment.
  • Planning and implementing new procedures to improve dining room service and efficiency.
  • Planning, organizing, scheduling, and attending department meetings.
  • Serving food and drinks to residents during mealtimes.
  • May supervise kitchen staff in absence of Food Services Manager.
  • Oversee the collection of guest meal house charges, cash, check, and credit card payments and submit to business office and accounting for monthly processing.
  • Track sales and provide report of daily & monthly meal counts.
  • Completing necessary paperwork and documentation; routine filing as needed.
