About The Position

LCB Senior Living is hiring a full-time Dining Room Supervisor at The Residence at South Windsor Farms. This role involves overseeing the dining experience for residents, ensuring satisfaction, and contributing to the community's occupancy growth. The supervisor will manage dining room operations, staff, and assist the Culinary Services Director.

Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent.
Minimum of three years in the food service field.
Minimum of one year of supervisory experience.
Current ServSafe certificate.
Knowledge of culinary service environment.
Ability to communicate professionally.
Experience with buffet catering.
Working knowledge of all kitchen equipment.

Nice To Haves

Successful completion of a reputable course in food management is preferred.

Responsibilities

Promote the mission and core values of the Residence and LCB Senior Living.
Actively participate in growing community occupancy by positively representing the community to potential residents, families, and professionals.
Oversee the service of meals to residents in various designated areas.
Manage the cleanliness, preparation, training, and staffing of the dining room.
Assist the Culinary Services Director to ensure efficient operation of the culinary service department, working in all areas of the department.
Communicate with the Executive Director and culinary team, attending meetings as requested.
Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure timely preparation of sick trays and room trays.
Maintain the proper order of service for all meals.
Assist with table service as needed.
Assist with scheduling associates, planning events, and ordering supplies.
Interview, hire, counsel, and terminate dining room personnel in accordance with company policy.
Conduct and monitor orientation and ongoing training for Food Servers.
Monitor the maintenance, printing, and distribution of daily menus.
Ensure the dining room is ready for service according to LCB standards.
Anticipate and meet resident needs in a timely manner.
Ensure all dining staff comply with the company uniform policy.
Greet residents during dinner and supper service.
Assist residents with seating needs.
Assist dining room staff with pre-bussing and dessert service.
Assist dining room staff in clearing and resetting the dining room.
Monitor and maintain inventories of dining room items and communicate replenishment needs.
Supervise and secure the closing of the dining area.
