About The Position

The Dining Room Service Attendant is more than a food runner. Although guests place their own orders through our digital ordering system, Dining Room Service Attendants are responsible for providing the hospitality and attentiveness traditionally associated with full-service dining. Team members are expected to actively engage with the dining room rather than waiting for guests to request assistance. This includes acknowledging guests, observing tables, anticipating needs, checking back after food delivery, maintaining table cleanliness, and ensuring guests feel welcomed and cared for throughout their visit. The goal is to provide the convenience of digital ordering without sacrificing personal hospitality.

Must meet applicable requirements for handling and serving alcoholic beverages.
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during scheduled shifts.
Ability to frequently bend, reach, carry, and move throughout the dining room and restaurant.
Ability to safely carry food trays, dishes, glassware, and restaurant supplies.
Ability to lift and carry up to the weight established by company requirements.

Nice To Haves

Previous restaurant, hospitality, food runner, server, host, or customer service experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Greet and acknowledge guests in a friendly and welcoming manner.
Welcome newly seated guests and explain the QR ordering process when needed.
Proactively assist guests with accessing the digital menu, placing orders, starting or closing tabs, and navigating the ordering system.
Provide alternative ordering assistance for guests who are unable or prefer not to use QR ordering. Directing them to order at the bar.
Monitor the dining room continuously and remain attentive to guests who may need assistance.
Deliver food and beverages promptly and accurately to the appropriate tables.
Verify identification before delivering alcoholic beverages in accordance with company policies and applicable alcohol service requirements.
Check back with guests after food delivery to ensure order accuracy, satisfaction, and that additional needs are addressed.
Anticipate and respond to guest needs, including providing utensils, napkins, condiments, beverage assistance, and other service items.
Pre-bus tables throughout the guest experience and remove unnecessary dishes, glassware, and trash.
Clear, clean, sanitize, and reset tables promptly following guest departure.
Maintain the cleanliness, organization, and overall appearance of the dining room and guest service areas throughout the shift.
Monitor incoming orders and communicate effectively with the Bartender, Kitchen Team, and Manager on Duty to ensure timely and accurate service.
Assist with physical gift certificates, cash transactions, order corrections, or other payment needs by directing or assisting guests according to bar or Manager on Duty.
Recognize guest concerns and resolve routine service issues when appropriate, escalating complaints, incorrect orders, payment issues, or service recovery needs to the Manager on Duty.
Assist the Bartender and other team members during periods of increased volume.
Complete assigned opening, running, side-work, and closing duties.
Restock dining room supplies and service stations as needed.
Follow all food safety, sanitation, responsible alcohol service, and company policies and procedures.
Perform other duties as assigned to support restaurant operations and the guest experience.
