About The Position

Arrow Senior Living is seeking a Dining Room Manager for Vitalia N Olmsted located in North Olmsted, OH. This is a full-time position with a pay range of $18 - $21.50 per hour. The schedule includes Sunday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. The role focuses on ensuring the dining room is immaculate and that residents receive impeccable service. The Dining Room Manager is expected to be a welcoming host, engaging with residents, and fostering an environment for connection. Responsibilities include table preparation, rolling silverware, bussing tables, sweeping floors, and observing residents for any changes in dietary habits or appetite, communicating these observations to supervisors and Wellness staff.

Requirements

  • Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
  • Knowledge of the requirements for providing care and supervision appropriate to the residents.
  • Must have and maintain a food server permit as required by the county.
  • Ability to read, write, understand, and communicate in English at a minimum of 8th grade proficiency.
  • Must have a positive and energetic attitude.
  • Must be active as this role requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and stooping all day.
  • Must have the ability to frequently lift and/or move items up to 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to assist residents with sitting, standing, and walking, as well as assisting people after a fall.
  • Must be criminally cleared.
  • Be in good health and physically and mentally capable of performing assigned tasks.
  • Good physical health shall be verified by a health screening performed by a physician not more than six (6) months prior to or seven (7) days following employment.
  • Must test free from pulmonary tuberculosis at time of health screening.

  • Previous experience leading a hospitality team preferred.

  • Ensuring the dining room looks and stays perfect.

  • Being present in the dining room, mingling, and entertaining.
  • Fostering an environment where residents can connect.
  • Prepping tables for service, salads for the next meal, or rolling silverware.
  • Bussing tables and sweeping floors.
  • Communicating with supervisors and Wellness when poor dietary habits or unusual changes in appetite are observed.
  • Communicating when residents are absent from meals.
