About The Position

As the Dining Room Manager at Vitalia Solon, you will be responsible for ensuring the dining room is immaculate and that residents receive impeccable service. This role involves being a welcoming host, preparing tables and meals, maintaining tidiness, and observing residents' dietary habits and appetite changes. You will communicate any concerns to supervisors and the Wellness team. The position requires you to be at least eighteen years old, possess a food server permit, and have strong English communication skills. A positive and energetic attitude is essential, along with the physical ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, and lift up to 50 pounds. You will also assist residents with mobility and ensure you are in good health, with a recent health screening and tuberculosis test. Requirements

  • Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
  • Must have and maintain a food server permit as required by the county.
  • Can read, write, understand, and communicate in English at a minimum of 8th grade proficiency.
  • Must have a positive and energetic attitude.
  • Must be active as this role requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and stooping all day.
  • Must have the ability to frequently lift and/or move items up to 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to assist residents with sitting, standing, and walking, as well as assisting people after a fall.
  • Must be criminally cleared.
  • Be in good health and physically and mentally capable of performing assigned tasks.
  • Good physical health shall be verified by a health screening performed by a physician not more than six (6) months prior to or seven (7) days following employment.
  • Must test free from pulmonary tuberculosis at time of health screening.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience leading a hospitality team preferred.
  • Knowledge of the requirements for providing care and supervision appropriate to the residents.

Responsibilities

  • Ensuring the dining room looks and stays perfect.
  • Providing impeccable service to residents.
  • Greeting residents and making them feel welcome.
  • Being present in the dining room, mingling, and entertaining.
  • Fostering an environment where residents can connect.
  • Preparing tables for service, salads for meals, and rolling silverware.
  • Bussing tables and sweeping floors.
  • Communicating with supervisors and Wellness about poor dietary habits, unusual changes in appetite, or resident absences from meals.
