About The Position

The Dining Room Manager is responsible for ensuring the dining room is well-maintained and that residents receive impeccable service. This role involves greeting residents, fostering a welcoming environment for connection, preparing tables and food items, bussing tables, sweeping floors, and communicating with supervisors and Wellness regarding resident dietary habits or changes in appetite. The position requires a positive and energetic attitude, the ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and stoop throughout the day, and the capacity to frequently lift and/or move items up to 50 pounds. The role also involves assisting residents with mobility and in case of falls. A health screening, including tuberculosis testing, is required.

Requirements

• Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
• Previous experience leading a hospitality team preferred.
• Knowledge of the requirements for providing care and supervision appropriate to the residents.
• Must have and maintain a food server permit as required by the county.
• Ability to read, write, understand, and communicate in English at a minimum of 8th grade proficiency.
• Must have a positive and energetic attitude.
• Must be active as this role requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and stooping all day.
• Must have the ability to frequently lift and/or move items up to 50 pounds.
• Must be able to assist residents with sitting, standing, and walking, as well as assisting people after a fall.
• Must be criminally cleared.
• Be in good health and physically and mentally capable of performing assigned tasks.
• Good physical health shall be verified by a health screening performed by a physician not more than six (6) months prior to or seven (7) days following employment.
• Must test free from pulmonary tuberculosis at time of health screening.
