About The Position

Arrow Senior Living is seeking a Dining Room Manager for The Boulevard Senior Living St. Peters. This full-time position is responsible for ensuring the dining room is immaculate and that residents receive impeccable service. The role involves being a welcoming host, preparing tables and food items, maintaining cleanliness, and observing residents' dietary habits and appetite changes, communicating any concerns to supervisors and Wellness staff. The ideal candidate will be at least 18 years old, possess a positive and energetic attitude, and be physically capable of performing the duties required, including standing, walking, bending, lifting up to 50 pounds, and assisting residents with mobility and care. A food server permit is required, along with the ability to communicate effectively in English. Previous experience leading a hospitality team is preferred, as is knowledge of resident care requirements.

Requirements

  • Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
  • Knowledge of the requirements for providing care and supervision appropriate to the residents.
  • Must have and maintain a food server permit as required by the county.
  • Ability to read, write, understand, and communicate in English at a minimum of 8th grade proficiency.
  • Must have a positive and energetic attitude.
  • Must be active as this role requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and stooping all day.
  • Ability to frequently lift and/or move items up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to assist residents with sitting, standing, and walking, as well as assisting people after a fall.
  • Must be criminally cleared.
  • Be in good health and physically and mentally capable of performing assigned tasks.
  • Good physical health shall be verified by a health screening performed by a physician not more than six (6) months prior to or seven (7) days following employment.
  • Must test free from pulmonary tuberculosis at time of health screening.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience leading a hospitality team preferred.

  • Prepping tables for service, salads for the next meal, or rolling silverware.
  • Bussing tables and sweeping floors.
  • Communicating with supervisors and Wellness about poor dietary habits or unusual changes in appetite.
  • Observing and reporting resident absence from meals.
