About The Position

Arrow Senior Living is seeking a Dining Room Manager to join our team at Rushwood located at 2121 N 143rd St E, Wichita, KS 67230. This is a full-time position with a pay range of $18.50 - $21.50 per hour. The schedule is Tuesday through Saturday, from 11:30 am to 7:30 pm. As the Dining Room Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the dining room is immaculate and that residents receive impeccable service. You will also be expected to be a welcoming host, preparing for service, maintaining tidiness, and observing and reporting on resident dietary habits and appetite changes.

Requirements

Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
Knowledge of the requirements for providing care and supervision appropriate to the residents.
Must have and maintain a food server permit as required by the county.
Can read, write, understand, and communicate in English at a minimum of 8th grade proficiency.
Must have a positive and energetic attitude.
Must be active as this role requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and stooping all day.
Must have the ability to frequently lift and/or move items up to 50 pounds.
Must be able to assist residents with sitting, standing, and walking, as well as assisting people after a fall.
Must be criminally cleared.
Be in good health and physically and mentally capable of performing assigned tasks.
Good physical health shall be verified by a health screening performed by a physician not more than six (6) months prior to or seven (7) days following employment.
Must test free from pulmonary tuberculosis at time of health screening.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience leading a hospitality team preferred.

Responsibilities

Ensuring the dining room looks (and stays) perfect and the service residents receive is impeccable.
Greeting residents and making them feel welcome, being present in the dining room, mingling, entertaining, and fostering an environment where residents can connect.
Prepping tables for service, salads for the next meal, or rolling silverware.
Bussing tables and sweeping floors.
Communicating with supervisors and Wellness when poor dietary habits or unusual changes in appetite are observed, as well as when residents are absent from meals.
