About The Position

Foothills Retirement Community is seeking an energetic, service-focused Dining Room Leader to support and lead the dining team and create memorable dining experiences for residents. The role offers an opportunity to build meaningful relationships with seniors and positively affect their lives through attentive service.

The Dining Room Leader supports meal service, trains and mentors dining staff, maintains the dining room, helps manage supplies and inventory, and ensures food safety and sanitation standards are followed. The role also partners with culinary staff and assists with special events, holiday meals, and community celebrations.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 2 years of experience in a lead or supervisory role in a restaurant or hospitality setting.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.
• Previous restaurant, dining, hospitality, or customer service leadership experience.
• Enjoys working with seniors and providing exceptional service.
• Demonstrates strong communication and organizational skills.
• Leads by example and works well as part of a team.
• Dependable, positive, and customer focused.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support the dining room team during meal service.
• Ensure residents receive exceptional, attentive service.
• Train, coach, and mentor dining staff.
• Maintain dining room appearance, cleanliness, and organization.
• Manage supplies and assist with inventory control.
• Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation standards.
• Partner with culinary staff to deliver outstanding dining experiences.
• Assist with special events, holiday meals, and community celebrations.
