The Greenville News, part of the USA Today Network, is seeking a dynamic and curious food, dining & entertainment reporter to cover the vibrant and rapidly evolving culinary and cultural scene in Greenville and across Upstate South Carolina. This role is ideal for a storyteller who is equally passionate about uncovering hidden dining gems, analyzing food trends, and capturing the energy of the region’s arts and entertainment landscape. The reporter will create multimedia food, dining, and entertainment content that informs our audience of breaking news, restaurant openings and closings, industry trends, and things to do through videos, photos, and stories. Greenville's food and dining scene continues to grow, earning regional and national recognition, including Michelin-rated and recommended restaurants. As the Upstate's cultural hub, the city offers a robust calendar of major events and happenings. The reporter must be ready to balance quick-hit stories with deeper features and enterprise work. This role also requires consistent audience engagement through tactics such as polls, experiential video, and social media. Greenville is located in the northwestern part of the state, in the Upstate, near the scenic foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains midway between Charlotte, North Carolina, and Atlanta, Georgia, along the Interstate 85 corridor.
