Requirements

• Six months of culinary adventures or food service training
• A high school diploma or GED

Nice To Haves

• Experience working with older adults or in the retirement housing industry
• A natural talent for turning frowns upside down
• The ability to juggle multiple tasks without dropping the metaphorical plates
• A knack for remembering resident preferences
• High energy

Responsibilities

• Transform our utility area into a culinary command center
• Keep our chalkboard up-to-date
• Prepare iced tea, juice, coffee, and tea
• Keep condiment supplies stocked and ready
• Assist the cook when duty calls
• Perform table quality checks
• Provide table service
• Perform cleaning in the Dining Room and Kitchen
• Clean microwaves, coffee machines, and juice dispensers
• Keep the snack hutch stocked
• Roll out the 2:00 PM hydration cart
• Provide tray service
• Assist residents during medical emergencies
• Notice residents' eating habits
• Follow cleaning schedules
• Provide event support
• Perform other duties as assigned
