About The Position

The Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art is seeking a talented Digital Designer to craft innovative designs for marketing campaigns, social media, and interactive exhibits. This role involves shaping the future of digital storytelling at the museum by enhancing its digital presence and bringing art to life for diverse audiences. The Digital Designer will be part of the Design team, collaborating with curators, educators, and media specialists to create impactful digital experiences that align with the museum’s mission and vision.

Requirements

  • 3+ years in graphic and motion design.
  • Expertise in UX/UI design.
  • Proficiency in tools like Adobe Creative Suite and Figma.
  • Strong understanding of digital accessibility standards.
  • Ability to tailor designs for various platforms and audiences.
  • A keen eye for translating complex ideas into compelling digital visuals.

Responsibilities

  • Design visually stunning digital assets, including motion graphics and animations.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to create engaging content for campaigns and social media.
  • Develop interactive media for digital exhibits and virtual programming.
  • Ensure all designs align with accessibility and branding standards.
