Digital Video Editor
About The Position
The Digital Video Editor will be responsible for editing news and public affairs video for various web and social media platforms, including YouTube, Instagram, and TikTok. This role involves managing media storage, ensuring quality control for audio and color correction, handling multiple edits simultaneously, and delivering content to channel managers. The position requires a commitment to journalistic principles and the ability to adapt videos for different social media formats. This is a hybrid position with the potential for schedule changes at the company's discretion.
Requirements
- A commitment to the journalistic principles of truth, accuracy, fairness and impartiality
- A minimum four (4) years of relevant experience, including experience working as a video editor on YouTube- and social-first news programs or journalism sites
- Ability to edit digital video and proficiency with Premiere/Adobe Suite required
- Ability to adapt videos for use on various social media platforms
- Proficiency with media management tools and software
- Technical proficiency in remote content delivery

- Animation skills preferred
Responsibilities
