About The Position
PDS Optical is a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) that manufactures a large volume of eyeglasses daily. We operate Optical Laboratories in Louisville, KY and Fort Lauderdale, FL, and manage numerous optical stores across the US and Puerto Rico. Requirements
- Must be able to stand and work on your feet for 8 hours.
Nice To Haves
- No previous experience is necessary, we will provide training.
Responsibilities
- Control the optical manufacturing equipment that blocks, generates, polishes, adds backside coating, and lasers the lenses to the designated curve on the concave side of the lens.
- Block incoming lenses.
- Transfer alloy from de-blockers to blockers.
- Learn how to run all machines within the digital surface department individually.
- Keep workflow going at a steady pace.
- Stand and work on your feet for 8 hours.
