As a Digital Security Specialist, you will work with K-12 customers to identify cybersecurity needs and recommend suitable Microsoft solutions. You will collaborate with customer groups to enhance security through digital transformation strategies, lead customer conversations, and coordinate with internal teams and partners to maximize security opportunities. The role involves executing Microsoft's strategic business priorities by selling cloud services and platforms to managed customers and building digital transformation momentum for customers, partners, and Microsoft. You will help K-12 organizations strengthen security through compliance, identity management, and AI-driven automation; promote a Zero Trust mindset; and help customers understand how AI and automation can advance security.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field and 5+ years of technology-related sales or account management experience, or 6+ years of technology-related sales or account management experience.
• Demonstrated customer and community focus, collaboration across commercial, technical, policy, partner, and philanthropic teams, continuous learning, inclusive leadership, and a bias for measurable impact.

Nice To Haves

• 8+ years of technology-related security sales or account management experience; or a bachelor's degree in Information Technology or a related field and 6+ years of technology-related sales or account management experience; or a master's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field and 5+ years of technology-related sales or account management experience.
• 3+ years of security solution sales or consulting services sales experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead and plan for named accounts in the assigned territory, proactively mapping external stakeholders to accelerate deal closure.
• Perform business analysis to pursue high-potential customers and manage end-to-end Security business across the territory, driving consumption and licensing transactions to grow business.
• Collaborate on planning, orchestration, and execution of Security opportunities with internal virtual teams and partners to cross-sell and up-sell.
• Initiate and lead Security conversations; share best practices, competitor knowledge, and customer insights across solution areas; and recommend whether to pursue or withdraw from opportunities.
• Drive new sales and customer engagements using digital signals, partnership events, LinkedIn social selling, networking, and innovative approaches.
• Complete required training and obtain relevant security expertise and certifications aligned to the role.
