About The Position

The Aerospace Corporation is hiring a Digital Signals & RF Engineering Undergrad Intern for the DCID in its Mission Payloads Division (MPD). The role is full-time and 100% onsite at the company’s El Segundo, California office. DCID uses software-defined radios and FPGA technology to develop advanced communication and navigation system prototypes, including GNSS, PNT, and GPS systems. Its work includes guiding acquisition of next-generation communication and navigation systems, helping industry implement advanced technology, and developing solutions to challenging customer problems. The intern will learn to develop and implement signal-processing algorithms for GPS/GNSS and software-defined-radio receivers, communication transceivers, and digital signal processing on FPGA hardware or in software. The role supports performance analysis, prototyping real-time systems for emulation and proof of concept, research into signal processing and PNT technologies, and preparation of technical briefings and reports. The internship requires at least 10 weeks of full-time availability outside the university term, and the intern must be able to return to a full-time degree program afterward.

Requirements

  • Be currently enrolled full-time in an accredited college or university and pursuing a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
