About The Position

The Aerospace Corporation is hiring a Digital Signals & RF Engineering Grad Intern for the DCID in the Mission Payloads Division (MPD). The position is full-time and 100% onsite at the company’s El Segundo, California office. DCID uses software-defined radios and FPGA technology to develop advanced communication and navigation system prototypes, including GNSS, PNT, and GPS systems. Its work includes supporting acquisition of next-generation systems, assisting industry with advanced technology implementation, and creating solutions to customer challenges. The intern will learn to develop and implement signal-processing algorithms for GPS/GNSS/software-defined-radio receivers, communication transceivers, and digital signal processing in FPGA hardware or software. The role also supports performance analysis, real-time system prototyping, and research in signal processing, GNSS technology, and alternative PNT concepts. Work products are documented in briefings and technical reports for customers and colleagues. The internship requires full-time availability for at least 10 weeks outside the university term and return to a full-time degree program afterward. The position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance, for which U.S. citizenship is required. Transcripts are required. Temporary housing assistance is not available.
